Relief from Localised Skin Irritation

Coverings or underwear made of super soft delicate fabrics can provide some relief from mild localised irritation like itching, eg: after shingles (see below). They may not take away all the irritation, but they do often lessen it to make it bearable. If you have severe irritation, unsmooth skin, or pain, then these fabrics are unlikely to help.
Supersoft fabrics can relieve itching and other mild irritation around the neck, shoulders, back, chest and abdomen; but are of no value for irritation on the head or face except perhaps whilst wearing head or face coverings.

PHN Skin Irritation following Shingles
PHN or Post-Herpetic Neuralgia, is nerve damage caused by shingles (herpes zoster) which can cause persistent irritation, itching, burning or throbbing pain. Shingles itself often produces a very painful rash - but not always: it is possible to suffer from the irritation of PHN without even realising that you have had Shingles! Unfortunately PHN can continue for years after.
