This 'Matka' silk suiting fabric is also known as 'Tropical Suiting' due to its suitability for use in hot climates. It is a soft, drapey, luxurious, cool and breathable fabric with a similar looking weave to linen. Matka is very suitable for suits and jackets for summer weddings due to its large colour range, but also other special occasions. A heavier weight Matka is our quality 6405. Matka garments interlined with silk organza are highly resistant to creasing.
