This liquid satin fabric is a lighter-weight and very drapey dress fabric, with a highly lustrous shine. A low cost polyester satin material, it is great for figure-hugging or flowing 'Grecian' styles. The perfect wedding fabric for summer bridesmaids, budget bride and other wedding outfits, proms, evening gowns, etc. The name 'satin' derives from the ancient Chinese port Zaitun (now Quanzhou) which was associated with the export of the luxury fabric in the Middle Ages.
