Stretch fabrics for dressmaking are great for figure-hugging designs, and are mostly either silk mixed with elastic yarn, or man-made. Most stretch dress fabrics are also highly drapey - one notable exception being stretch duchess satin. Stretch silks range from jersey to stretch satin to duchess satin.
